Not for Profit Award

Top Energy ’Not for Profit Award’

Top EnergyNot for profit organisations play a critical role in Northland communities and undertake a variety of core functions that we all rely on. Often operating on limited resources it is essential that they adopt good business practices and operate under extremely good governance.

As well as the business as usual challenges that all business face they are continually tasked with funding their activities. They operate within and are closely integrated with mainstream business on whom they often rely for financial contributions. Top Energy welcomes all Not for Profit Organisations to enter into this category.

How to enter: To enter the Not For Profit awards, select the business category size/turnover band which relates to your organisation and check the “Not For Profit” box on the entry form which will enter you into the Not For Profit category also.

The Top Energy Group has interests in electricity generation, lines distribution, electrical contracting and customer contact centres across the Far North.  The Group is owned by the Top Energy Consumer Trust, on behalf of the 31,000 power consumers connected to the Company’s network.

Each year Top Energy supports the Far North region with extensive community initiatives, such as the Young Enterprise Scheme in high schools, teaching primary school children to swim through the WaterSafe programme, encouraging budding scientists to excel through the annual Top Energy Science Fair in Northland schools and of course sponsoring the essential Electricity Rescue Helicopter, which is such a necessary and critical service to the Far North.  The company has also long been a sponsor of business excellence in the Far North, and this new chapter of sponsoring the Not for Profit category in these awards continues with that trend.
