All Northland-based businesses that have been trading for 12 months or
longer may enter the NorthTec Excellence in Technology, Education & Communication Award.
What are the judges looking for in this category?
The judges are seeking to recognise a business that has enhanced its
success through technology, or the business's primary focus is on education, or in communication.
Evaluation criteria:
In the areas of technology, education or communications demonstrate your competitive edge, growth and potential growth.
Identify any innovative approaches adopted by your enterprise and how the innovation was identified, introduced & how it is different or novel.
Evidence of excellent business performance including effective management, strategic thinking and business planning. Entrepreneurial skills displayed, risks taken and how you have managed the risk.
Intellectual property/protection/patents that apply or have been considered (if the technology is self-developed. The businesses’ strengths and competitive advantages and what the business believe attributed to these achievements.
