Northern Advocate Northland Hall of Fame Criteria

CONDITIONS OF NOMINATION

Any member of the public can nominate someone for the Northland Business Hall of Fame.  Self-nominations and posthumous nominations may also be accepted.

Nominations will be accepted until 30 September 2009.
Nominations must be no longer than 500 words, and must include full details of the nominating party.

A maximum of three laureates will be chosen per year. 
(In 2008 only one will be awarded HOF entry)

Nominees to the Northland Business Hall of Fame must meet the following criteria:

1.   Nominees must be / have been a Northland resident, or 
      own / owned a business whose head office is / was located in Northland.

2.   Nominees must be an individual.

3.   Nominees must have either: 

      a)  Contributed to the growth of an industry in Northland; 

      b)  Worked to create job and business growth opportunities in Northland; or
      c)  Whose work in an associated field (e.g. education, local government, 
           media, infrastructure management) has been highly beneficial for the 
           Northland business community.
